Common questions, answered.
Is Hope Connection the right fit for me?
Every practice is a better fit for some needs than others, and we'd rather help you find the right one than have you wait on a fit that isn't there. Hope Connection currently serves individuals, couples, and families β including teens age 13 and older β with in-person sessions in Tallahassee and telehealth for clients who will be physically located in Florida during their session. Parent-focused concerns are generally addressed within family therapy rather than as a separate service.
Questions about a specific insurance plan or Medicaid, or whether a concern might need medication management, psychological testing, or a higher level of care than outpatient therapy provides, are best discussed during your free consultation β we're glad to help point you toward an appropriate referral if we're not the right fit.
This page and the consultation request form are for general and administrative questions only, not urgent or clinical communication. If you're in crisis, please use the resources at the top of our Resources page or call 911.
Do you accept insurance?
Insurance participation varies by therapist. Charity Cannavo is in-network with Capital Health Plan (CHP), UnitedHealthcare, and Aetna. Charityβs private-pay range is generally $100β$150. Angela Cash currently accepts self-pay clients, generally $80β$100. Limited sliding-scale availability may be offered. Coverage and copays vary, so please confirm benefits with your plan.
What does a first session look like?
Your first session is simply a conversation. We'll get to know you, understand what brought you in, and begin to explore what healing might look like for you. There's no pressure to have it all figured out β that's what we're here for.
Do you offer telehealth?
Yes. Telehealth is available for clients who are physically located in Florida at the time of their session, when online care is an appropriate fit.
Is everything I share confidential?
Therapy is private, with legal and ethical limits that your therapist will explain during intake. These limits can include concerns about immediate safety, suspected abuse or neglect, and other circumstances required by law. The public request form is not a confidential clinical-message channel and should not contain protected health information.
How do I know which therapist is right for me?
Finding the right fit is critical to your success in therapy. That's exactly why we offer a free 15-minute consultation β so you can get a feel for the therapist's style and approach before committing to a full session. Visit the Our Therapists section on our homepage to learn more about Charity and Angela.
