Work through it together.

Guided sessions to help couples communicate better, resolve conflict, and reconnect — in person in Tallahassee, or by telehealth anywhere in Florida.

For couples at any stage.

Couples therapy is for two people working on their relationship together, with a therapist facilitating the conversation. You don't need to be in crisis to benefit — some couples come for a specific problem, others for a general tune-up.

Common reasons couples reach out include:

  • Communication breakdowns or recurring arguments
  • Rebuilding trust and emotional intimacy
  • Navigating a major transition — moving in together, marriage, a new baby, retirement
  • Feeling disconnected or stuck in the same patterns
  • Wanting outside support before problems grow

Finding the right level of support

Couples therapy is offered with in-person sessions in Tallahassee and telehealth for couples who will both be physically located in Florida during their session. Not sure this is the right fit, or have questions about insurance, Medicaid, or a specific concern? See our full answer on the Contact page, or ask during a free consultation.

What couples sessions may involve.

Joint Sessions

Structured conversations with both partners present, facilitated so each person can be heard.

Communication Tools

Practical skills for navigating conflict, expressing needs, and listening without escalating.

Identifying Patterns

Understanding the underlying dynamics behind recurring conflicts, not just the surface argument.

In person in Tallahassee, or telehealth across Florida.

In-Person Care

Sessions at 219 Delta Court, Unit B, Tallahassee, FL 32303.

Telehealth

Available when both partners will be physically located in Florida during the session, and telehealth is an appropriate fit.

Which Therapist

Which therapist is the right fit for your relationship is discussed during your free consultation, based on approach and availability.

What couples therapy does not include

Couples therapy is not legal or financial mediation, and it may not be the right starting point for a relationship with active safety concerns — your therapist will discuss fit and appropriate options with you. The public consultation request form is not for urgent or clinical communication. If you're in crisis, please use the resources at the top of our Resources page or call 911.

Insurance and private-pay options.

Insurance participation varies by therapist. Charity Cannavo is in-network with Capital Health Plan (CHP), UnitedHealthcare, and Aetna, with private-pay sessions generally ranging from $100–$150. Angela Cash currently accepts self-pay clients, generally $80–$100. Limited sliding-scale availability may be offered.

A few quick answers.

Do both partners need to want therapy to start?

It helps if both partners are open to the process, even if one person initiated it. This is worth discussing during your consultation.

Can we do telehealth sessions from two different locations?

This can be discussed during your consultation — both partners will need to be physically located in Florida during the session, and a stable connection and private space for each person is important.

How do we get started?

Request a free 15-minute consultation. A team member will follow up within 1–2 business days to discuss fit, availability, and payment before scheduling continues through Clerie.
